Dear APGNS Registrants,

The last several few weeks have unfolded and evolved rapidly and have certainly been unlike anything most of us have ever seen before.  As you are aware most organizations have taken proactive measures to deal with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation with an aim to reduce the potential for exposure and spread of the virus.

Geoscientists Nova Scotia is committed to the health and wellbeing of our registrants, volunteers, staff and members of the public whom we serve.

As a result, the Geoscientists Nova Scotia Office will be closed until Monday March 29th, and possibly longer depending on the situation.  Both Tara and I will work from our home offices as much as possible.  For registrants and applicants, we will continue to monitor, process and respond to email, telephone and regular postal communications in a timely manner.  We will continue to process applications, references, CPD reports, fees payments and information requests, etc.

All applicants whose documents reached our office after March 9, 2020 can expect delays. We will continue to review and compile documents and complete evaluations for documents already in application files, and we will resume full operations when it is prudent.

We will continue to provide updates through email, our website ( or our social media.  If you have questions, please contact myself at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or at (902) 420-9928.

We are carefully monitoring the public health risk presented by COVID-19, and are committed to ensuring we keep you updated on how this will impact upcoming activities and operations. We appreciate your understanding in these uncertain times.

We wish you and your families continued good health.
