Geoscientists Nova Scotia

ARC 2009 “From the Ground Up”

Dear Members,

Over the past year the Council of Geoscientists Nova Scotia has been working to create a stronger identity for the Association.

For this reason Council has decided to use the name “Geoscientists Nova Scotia.” This is not our ‘official’ name, just our handle so that people know who we are (geoscientists) and from where (Nova Scotia). Our legal name, as stated in the Geoscience Profession Act, remains the “Association of Professional Geoscientists of Nova Scotia.”

At present our visual identity consists of our seal and the name “Association of Professional Geoscientists of Nova Scotia.” Council has wanted a stronger visual identity that brands the Association with the elements of who we are, where we are and what we do, rendered in colours appropriate to our work.

Here are two designs that Council has approved for your opinion. Please review the designs and let us know your opinion. Send your opinion to Norma Keeping at nkeeping@dal.ca.

We are also embarking on a change to the website. In a couple of months, look for a dramatic change in our website.

Council and I look forward to hearing from you. Please ‘click here’ to view the designs.
